各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

在上月最後一天，我們十位老師浩浩蕩蕩地前往屯門鄧肇堅運動場視察場地，為陸運會作好準備。由於是聯校運動會，故需與屬校黃耀南小學及朱瑞蘭(中英文)幼稚園我們當天與屬校黃耀南小學及朱瑞蘭(中英文)幼稚園學校的老師開會，協調當天工作。本年度的聯校陸運會定於十二月十五日(星期四)上午舉行，同學們已多年沒有參加陸運會了，希望同學有一個難忘的陸運會。

In the last day of October, 10 teachers went to Tuen Mun Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground as site visit for the preparation of the Sports Day. This sports day is affiliated with LKWFS Wong Yiu Nam Primary School and LKWFS Chu Sui Lam Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten. We had a meeting there to coordinate all the works on that day. Our sports day will be held on Thursday, 15th December 2022 in the morning session. All the students have not had sports day for several years. I wish we will have an unforgettable one.

十一月二日(星期三)天文台懸掛了八號風球，全港學校停課一天。上次十一月懸掛八號風球，已經是45年前的事。幸好同學們剛完成測驗，可以休息一下。

Typhoon signal number 8 was hoisted on Wednesday, 2nd November 2022. All the schools in Hong Kong are suspended. It was 45 years ago to have last signal number 8 in November. Fortunately, students and teachers had a break after the uniform test.

十一月四日(星期五)我們參加了「公益金便服日」活動，捐款同學或老師，會收到一個精美的口罩。當天大家也穿上便服上學，戴上美麗又有意義的口罩，真的差點認不出同學們，我也趁着這個有意思的活動爭取機會到每個課室拍攝留念。

Dress Causal Day was held on Friday, 4th November 2022. Teachers and students who donated would have a beautiful mask. On that day, students wore causal wear with the beautiful and meaningful masks. I could not figure out who they were. I grabbed this chance to take photos with each class.

「服務學習」強調學生的參與及透過服務的過程，使學生發展批判性的分析和思考能力，培養勤勞、自律、協作、同理心等素質。十一月五日(六)早上，我們安排了「公益金賣旗活動」，加強學生與家長之間的溝通、合作，共享親子快樂時間。我看見平日個性比較內向的同學，在賣旗的過程中，也盡力主動請路人賣旗，勇氣可嘉。

Service Learning emphasizes on students’ participation and their critical analysis and thinking are developed throughout the process of service learning. Students are cultivated to be hardworking, self-disciplined, collaborative and empathetic and so on. On Saturday, 5th November 2022, flag selling was arranged for providing a chance to communicate, cooperate and share between parents and their children with a happy parental period. I am glad to see some students who were introverted but they became active and took initiative to sell flags.

一年一度流感疫苗接種又來了，每年最擔心的是一年級同學，很多同學都會大叫大哭，嚷着不要打針。今年小一學生太厲害，沒有一個說怕，沒有一個哭，很快便完成了，連姑娘們也讚賞他們呢！輪到六年級接種時，大家齊集禮堂，姑娘宣佈注意事項後，便開始打針。突然有一位男同學叫嚷着，更哭了起來，說自己十分害怕。在眾人的安慰下，這位同學也完成接種了。同學們，無論接種疫苗或遇到困難，都不用怕，身邊的同學和老師都會支持着你呢！

Vaccination for students was here again. I was worried P.1 students most as they were screaming and crying for not to have a jab. I was so proud to all the p.1 students were so brave as they did not afraid and no one cried and it finished so fast. They were praised by all the nurses. However, all the P.6 students gathered at the school hall and listened to the announcement made by the nurse. When the nurses started the injection, one of male P.6 students shrieked and cried because he was afraid of injection. His classmates and teachers went towards him and talked to him. He finally finished it. In our lives, we will face a lot of obstacles like injection, you do not need to be afraid because teachers, classmates and your family will give you lots of supports.

屯門區的學校，校長們都有很多聯繫，例如定期屯門小學校長會議及活動，這幾年，很多中學校長也來到我們的學校拜訪，互相認識。大家有着同一樣的目的，為教育界出一分力，故中學舉辦了很多活動讓小學生參與。近期防疫措施放寬了，我們也參加了新會商會中學舉辦的「元宇宙」工作坊。在學校方面，我們也舉辦了很多校外活動，讓學生多角度學習，例如童軍參觀「童軍文化廊」；成長的天空的同學到曹公潭參加日營活動；校內舉辦了「LTY實驗室」-「雞蛋泡醋」，同學及老師也興奮極了。

Principals in Tuen Mun have lots of connections such as regular Tuen Mun Principals’ meetings and activities. Within these years, lots of secondary school principals came to visit our school. We have the same purpose to work hard for the education field. Lots of secondary schools held various activities for primary school students to participate. Recently, anti-epidemic measures have been relaxed and we joined some of the activities held by secondary schools. In our school, we also held lots of activities to our students and let them learn in different perspectives such as visiting the scouts’ centre and day camping. Also, LTY laboratory held some activities about experiments. Our students were so excited to join in.

香港學界體育聯會屯門區小學分會2022-2023年度小學校際田徑比賽在十一月十七及十八日，假屯門鄧肇堅運動場舉行。今年我們取得的成績是有史以來最好的一次，在此衷心多謝體育科科主任張嘉進老師用心的安排，由暑假至今不停訓練同學，還安排教練在運動場訓練，以提升同學運動技能。我們要繼續努力，為即將舉行的聯校運動會及未來的運動會努力。今年成績如下：

Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation Tuen Mun District Primary Schools 2022 – 2023 Inter-Primary Schools Competition was held on 17th and 18th November 2022. The location was in Tuen Mun Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground. Our school got the best result ever. I want to take is chance to thank P.E. panel head Mr. Cheung Ka Chun for his thorough arrangement. Students were trained from summer until November which can enhance our students’ skills and physical fitness in different venues. The affiliated sports day will come soon and hope they will have good result in the coming future. The result is as follow:

校長及科主任的觀課開始，目的是提升老師的教學技巧，藉此提升學生的學習效能。本年度的觀課重點為電子教學，老師須運用電子教學在進行即時的互動活動，包括圖片和錄音分享、投票、即時搶答等，老師更可提供即時回饋，提升教學效能。而在互動活動中加入遊戲元素，寓遊戲於學習，能夠讓學生更投入課堂，引起學習興趣和加強學習氣氛，有助提高學習成效。看到同學們運用平板電腦十分純熟，他們的課堂表現十分主動，我感到很開心。社會不斷進步，同學一定要好好裝備自己，迎接未來的挑戰！

Lesson observation by the school principal, senior teachers and panel heads started. It aims to boost teaching techniques and learning effectiveness of students would be enhanced too. The focus of lesson observation this year is e-learning teaching. Teachers was required to let students use e-learning to do some interactive activities for their learning such as showing graphs, recording, voting and so on. Feedback would be given at once. Some e-learning incorporated gamification to let students learn while they played. It made students more engaged in the class and arouse their learning interests and reinforce the learning atmosphere. It helped enhance their learning effectiveness. Students were so familiar with the tablets. They took initiative to learn which made me feel happy to see this. Students must be well-equipped to adapt the future owing to the world is keeping on evolving.

十一月二十五日(星期五)為屯門區教師發展日，校長和部分主任到博愛醫院歷屆總理聯誼會鄭任安夫人學校參與現場的講座，其他老師留在學校以網上形式參加。

On Friday, 25th November 2022, it was the Tuen Mun Teacher Professional Development Day. Some senior teachers and I needed to go to another school for joining this seminar and the rest of the teachers stayed at school to join in on-line mode. It is so important for teachers to have time to learn.

十一月二十六日(星期六)為上學期家長日，家長除了與班主任交流學生學習情況，還可以帶學生到操場的書展，希望同學在書展中購買一些有興趣的課外書，增加閱讀量。同日也舉行家長教師會執行委員會選舉及家長校董選舉。今年有七位家長參加，本年度家長教師會執行委員會成員如下，衷心多謝各位家長為學校服務。

On Saturday, 26th November 2022, it was the Parent Day. Besides, class teachers and parents both had a chance to meet and discussed the progression of student’s learning, there was a book fair in the covered playground. It is hoped that students can select some books they like. Also, the Parent-and-Teacher Association election was held on the same day. There were 7 parents to participate and they were listed as follow, thank you very much for your enthusiasm to provide services to school.
